Heat-Pak® has been designed to be a complete electric underfloor heating system specifically for use below floor types such vinyl flooring like Amtico < Karndean, Carpet tiles and thin 'low tog' carpets.
Carpets do need some special attention before deciding to purchase a underfloor heating system. Carpets need to have a tog value of 2 tog or less to be effective, and same for the underlay. Brintons do offer some good advice on this page - Brintons Carpet Technical Information
The system we supply is the same as the laminate underfloor heating system and comprise's of 6mm (12mm if used with carpet) Depron insulation, ultra thin Carbon Heating Film, moisture barrier < a revolutionary 2-layer 'floating' overlay board. see diagram above.

Using the very latest in technology, the heating system is extremely thin < including the overlay board it only increases the floor height by 14mm, making it convenient for most renovations.

Effect of fire
Heat-Pak® meets the requirements according to DIN 4102-1, class B2 (1998), 'Reaction to fire tests - Ignitability of building products subjected to direct impingement of flame'.

Thermal Resistance: 0.046m²K/W (0.46 Tog).
